2021 Fringe Fest

August 20, 20215:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Fringe Fest is a performing arts-laced evening, produced by Engine: Propelling the Creative Community in partnership with the Heart of Biddeford…two downtown organizations coming together to build community via the arts! The River Jam Fringe Fest provides a canvas for the performing arts community to showcase their talents with interactive performances and demonstrations in Shevenell Park and on Main Street.

Come experience diverse artistic offerings ranging from music and spoken word, visual arts, dance and more. Plus – let’s have another Pie-Luck (a potluck of pies) and also celebrate National Potato day! Food from local restaurants will be available. While we wont be hosting a beer garden on Friday night this year, there’s plenty of time after Fringe Fest to head to your favorite Biddeford hot spots!

Where?
Fringe Fest will take place on Main Street and Shevenell Park; between Alfred and Washington Streets. Paid parking in all City lots but surface streets free and unrestricted after 4pm.

What is Fringe Fest?
Fringe Fest is focused on the performing arts. Fringe gives a spotlight to theater, dance, puppetry, music, visual arts, and spoken word. Fringes don’t have a focus on one single discipline or genre, but are an arts smörgåsbord!

Engine is and has been a focal point of downtown Biddeford for many years for so many artists and creative spirits. It is a go-to for me: a retreat, a destination, a source for connection and ideas and community.

Engine is a wonderful place to work surrounded by wonderful people who have infused so much love and light into the downtown of Biddeford. I cannot imagine a bright future in the town without this wonderful organization.
