Emily Gunter and Hannah Haines have been creating work together since 2019. They have previously presented their collaborative choreography at the Frances Tang Teaching Museum in an evening-length work reimagining Ovid’s telling of the myth of Pygmalion. Their joint process draws on their shared fascination with exploring language as an inspiration for movement, and curiosity to explore classical shapes with contemporary sensibilities. Emily and Hannah both graduated from Skidmore College in 2019 where they double majored in Dance and Classics, and Dance and Anthropology respectively. Emily is currently based in New York’s capital region and is a dancer with Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company . Hannah is based in Southern Maine and New York City, and is an Apprentice Dancer with Lori Belilove and the Isadora Duncan Dance Company.
