EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 25: NANO, A SUPER-TINY ART EXHIBITION

November 25, 202411:40 am - 11:40 am

Nano, a super-tiny art exhibition, showing February 8 through March 22, extended through April 25.

UPDATE: This exhibition will be extended through April 25, and–fingers crossed while socially distancing–we’ll be able to open to the public to allow viewing of this delightful exhibition of tiny works before we have to take it down.

Biddeford–Nano, an invitational exhibition featuring super-tiny art curated by Biddeford artist Laura Dunn, will open on February 8, 2020 from 5-7pm in Biddeford’s downtown art space, Engine. The exhibition will run from February 8 through March 22. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday 1pm-6pm and Saturdays 11am-2pm.

Nano was conceived by Biddeford artist Laura Dunn who began creating miniature ceramics in 2020 on a miniature wheel. Dunn’s tiny pots were the inspiration to propose a show of other very small works. Works must fit in a 4” x 4” x 4” envelope.

What people are saying about Engine...

Partnering with UNE, Engine has offered professional level gallery and classroom experiences for undergraduate and local students enrolled in arts classes as well as a venue to see art by both regionally and nationally recognized artists.

Engine is and has been a focal point of downtown Biddeford for many years for so many artists and creative spirits. It is a go-to for me: a retreat, a destination, a source for connection and ideas and community.

Engine is a wonderful place to work surrounded by wonderful people who have infused so much love and light into the downtown of Biddeford. I cannot imagine a bright future in the town without this wonderful organization.
