December events @ Engine

Dear Engine supporters,

Thank you for filling our space with your energy and vibrancy last weekend! We were blown away by your enthusiasm, engagement, and excitement around art and creativity in our community.

Two exhibitions opened, In the Dirt in our Main Gallery, and a solo exhibition by bobby T farell in Engine’s new Gallery 2, our makerspace was filled with the hum of creation for our Maker’s Market, and many of our studio artists and makers had their doors open to share their work! Our gallery is now open Wednesday – Friday from 2-6PM for regular hours and by appointment. We hope you’ll come by and check out what we’ve been working on!

This month, join us this for a poetry reading with the Portland Poets Society this Sunday December 12 6-8PM. We will be featuring our very own artists that work out of Engine’s community darkroom, Emma B. Pidden, who recently released her first book “Roots of 35mm Film”. A lineup of PPS poets will take the stage prior to Emma’s performance. Our monthly ArtFeed will be Thursday December 16th starting at 6:45PM, and is an opportunity to share your work in an informal critique session with other local creative

It is time to feed the Engine, and grants only cover a portion of our operating costs. We work hard to make our programs accessible to our community, and we are thrilled to have hosted as many free events as possible for y’all to connect and inspire each other.

Thank you to all of the generous donors that have supported our annual appeal campaign so far. There are many ways to give to support our mission. Engine runs on your generosity, and we are so grateful!

We look forward to seeing you soon at the creative hub that is Engine on 163 Main in Biddeford soon!
