IGNITE Launched: Apply by Jan 17 2022

To our creative community,

We are thrilled to launch IGNITE, Engine’s new Arts Business Incubator, as a resource for local artists and makers looking to become creative entrepreneurs. As we start to understand what the new, post-pandemic normal looks like, the important role cultural and social leadership plays in helping to drive Biddeford’s economic growth and sustainability is clearer than ever. We are so grateful for the support of Engine’s fantastic community in turning this program into a reality, and we look forward to helping the 2022 cohort develop strong concepts into valuable, community-led businesses for our area.

Thanks to the U.S. Economic Development Administration, the Maine Community Foundation, and Engine founder Tammy Ackerman’s leadership and fundraising, we have grant support to fund a pilot cohort of 3-5 creative businesses. Read on for application instructions and more!

Interested in applying? Potential applicants are encouraged to review the IGNITE page on our website. Contact [email protected] for additional information.

Engine is a wonderful place to work surrounded by wonderful people who have infused so much love and light into the downtown of Biddeford. I cannot imagine a bright future in the town without this wonderful organization.
